Baghead Secret Ending Guide: Bring Him Nothing
馃幆 TL;DR: Help Baghead on Desolate Peak. The whole puzzle is one answer: Baghead wants you to bring him nothing. Pick up the Special Moonshine, put it back, return empty-handed, answer his riddle correctly 鈥?and watch the secret "Bag Holder" ending. You can do this in your first playthrough without finishing the main story, and you keep playing after the credits.
1. Where to Find Baghead
- Region: Desolate Peak, in western Fainweald, near the entrance to the Illusionist's Cache
- Easiest route: fast-travel to the Gloomshade Grove Beacon, head to the cliffs below the Citadel of Penance, find the jump transporter near the broken bridge, and cross to Desolate Peak
- He sits among several followers 鈥?you can't miss the group
2. Sit With His Followers
- Speak to Baghead repeatedly until he tells you to sit down and be quiet
- Walk over to the nearby followers and sit
- Wait briefly, then stand back up
- Return to Baghead; choose Yes when he asks if you think you're different
Baghead will then ask you to find something special for him 鈥?this points to the Special Moonshine.
3. The Special Moonshine Trick
- Search the nearby ruined structure and pick up the Special Moonshine (it's on a wooden crate)
- Return to Baghead 鈥?when he asks if you really think he wants the Moonshine, choose No, and do not give it to him
- Go back to the crate and interact with it to put the bottle back, removing it from your inventory
- Return to Baghead empty-handed
鈿狅笍 The point of the test: Baghead isn't testing whether you bring something good 鈥?he's testing whether you understand that he wants nothing. Handing over the Moonshine is the wrong answer.
4. The Correct Answers

5. Trigger the Secret Ending

Good news: the game does not end after this 鈥?you can continue your playthrough right where you were, so there's no risk in experimenting.
