Gorf & Hilga Quest Guide: The Long Frog Tale
馃幆 TL;DR: Find Gorf the coughing toad in the marsh north of Widow's Overlook, trade him what he asks 鈥?Weltcaps and Common Moonshine 鈥?and rest at a Beacon between every visit. His chain ends with a Poisoned Dagger for Hilga in Mushroom Village, a cure, and up to five Marsh Pearls (2,000 Coin each).
1. Where to Find Gorf
- Location: eastern marsh, north of the Widow's Overlook Beacon
- Head north toward the combat-trial altar, then turn right into the marsh
- You can hear his coughing before he comes into view
2. The Trade Loop (this is the whole quest)
Gorf's quest is state-driven: you must rest at a Beacon after every conversation for it to progress. Walking away and coming back does nothing. Give him only the item he currently requests.

3. The Poisoned Dagger 鈫?Hilga
- After the item visits, Cultist bodies appear around Gorf 鈥?loot them
- Exhaust his new dialogue, rest, return for the Poisoned Dagger
- Take the dagger to Hilga 鈥?southeast of the Mushroom Village Beacon, across a small wooden bridge
- Hand it over, then rest
馃挕 Note: the Poisoned Dagger is a quest item, not an equippable weapon. Hilga needed it to cure Gorf.
4. Finish & the Family Scene
- Return to Hilga's camp after she disappears and read the note on her table
- Go back to Gorf 鈥?Hilga is now treating him
- Give Gorf one more Common Moonshine
- Rest and return for his recovery and the final Marsh Pearl
- Rest again to see Hilga's true form, then once more for the small-toad epilogue
Bonus: play the Minstrel's Lute in front of the reunited pair and the frogs will dance 鈥?a fun Easter egg (the lute is found near the One-Legged Wolf tavern).
